I have no idea how good Fordham is, but I do take some degree of solace in the fact that they did not lose or have a tight game against another FCS team.
 
Fordham was ranked #10 in the FCS Coaches Poll

Villanova is #7
 
They are a good team and Nova is an elite team in the FCS. It isn't a disgrace that they almost beat us but we played like crap in most phases of the game and that needs to be fixed and I believe it will.
 
Nova is a very good team with a better coach.

After this result they have proven to me they are legit and 8-4 is back on the menu.

If people don't how good or not good or not good Villanova is or isn't , why do they feel impelled to give an opinion. Nova is very, very good. Having said that , the Orange would have handled them easily if they hadn't lost their starting QB.

It's all relative. Compared to SU, Nova isn't all that. Our game was more about us, not Nova. How many Nova players would start for SU?

K Crusty. I just get over sensitive , I guess , when coaches and players names are mentioned and then trashed . They have feeling too.

I am with you on that. I suspect that stuff is mostly teenagers. Personally, I think coaching is a thankless job. The only ones who will truly be thankful for your efforts are the players. I guess that is the reason most good coaches get into the profession in the first place.
 
A few years ago I applied to be the assistant football coach at Fordham. I have 0 qualifications, besides playing, but thought it would be awesome to have get a rejection letter with their letter head on it. They didn't even waste a stamp lol

The irony is the BE HQ suggesting Nova to upgrade sped up the demise of the conference. Nova would beat both Ruttie and Nova right now.

As it should have. Building up 1AAs into 1As is no way to preserve your place as a power conference.

Essentially Yes...the BE couldn't afford to do that (some of the other conferences could afford to do it) at the time. So many ways the BE went wrong, sigh...starting all the way back to the early 80s.

I'm not sure that Nova would beat Nova right now - Nova looked pretty good against SU - think they would give Nova all they can handle ;)
