The new Michigan uniform does not really change the color scheme or the basic look.

It changes the style, as Bees described.

That's appropriate.

Going to grey jerseys, white helmets, white pants, blue helmets etc - changes the basic look of the SU Football uniform - and I personally don't like that kind of change.

I got a pair of shorts that color, but long pants? Takes a brave man to wear those. My admiration meter just lit up for the new chancellor.

Wish we knew so I knew what color to wear myself. Not having a school color anymore makes it confusing. I'll just assume it'll be blues again and wear blue.

Everyone should just wear gray. Then you're covered. It also might blend in better with the invisible fans who are wearing a shade of gray.

I don't put any thought into what I will wear for games. I wear orange for every game. Do you wear white when SU plays on the road (football or hoops)? No, you wear orange. So, just put on your orange clothes and cheer on the team whose uniforms say "Syracuse" on the front of whatever color jersey they are wearing.

And I'm sure the kids care more about the "style" than what color the pants or helmet are. No kid is coming here because we might wear blue pants.

I wore blue 2 years ago to a game and Jeremy gave me a ration. Wore gray the next game and he never said a word.

@richsufan There are orange jersey tops and orange pants. You might see the team roll those out later this year (maybe Louisville on Friday night?)

This week I play it pretty conservatively. Base home blue tops/blue pants/orange helmet

Interesting news. I thought SU might be bluffing on the orange jerseys not being ready until 2015 so they could pull a surprise this year, but you'd think they'd want to show them off to really get the buzz going for tickets.

If the mantra is that recruits wont come to a school for a uniform, we are really not going to try the fans will come to the game if they like the uniform are we ?

Nope, not at all, but I think we all admit that locally SU needs to do a lot of creative things to generate a "buzz" and move some tickets.

Agree about the creativity needed, though I don't think the jersey is the ticket. I think they are doing a better job, but a ways to go.

You're right. It's not the ticket, but every little bit helps. I wish they would have had interns wearing the new uniforms around campus/downtown/Destiny this past weekend along with ticket sales reps. Catch people who want to make "impulse" purchases.

I recently photographed this Syracuse Orangemen colored bug and thought it would make a great uniform combination. Orange pants with a cool blue orange top with a big white racing stripe.
