Nebraska fans can shove their condescension up their arses. They went without a bowl game for like 8 years and have been mediocre under Rhule. We won 10 games just last year, with a better win(Miami) than those tools have had in years.

I think any defensive system will work if it is well-coached and you get the talent that fits the system. Just like offense. That is why the system is always important in college and you recruit for your system.

Robinson is a nice guy and wish him well. But DC wise Robinson and Kehrens are not in the same stratosphere. Kehrens has a proven record as a DC. His defenses have legitimately been some of the best not just in his conference but the whole country….oh and he won 2 national titles as a head coach at D3. Dude knows ball and knows how to coach.

Fran said we’ll be lucky to have E-Rob for 2 years when he was hired. Thinking he would be so good he would be a HC. Kehrens is actually that but with a proven track record as a DC at the FBS-D1 level and a proven track record as a D3 head coach winning two national titles. Not trying to overhype this. But to shoot it straight, if Kehrens is not a head coach at a D1 school in the next 3-5 years I’d be SHOCKED. He’s going to bring instant results.

Pretty confident we will maintain most the talen on both sides of the ball that Fran wants to keep. We’ll keep some depth pieces. Top 30 recruiting class coming in. We’ll hit the portal hard and I expect a top 20 portal class tbh. And we have an easier schedule than this year.

Next year if Angeli is 100% I fully expect a similar offensive season to Mccords year here. Maybe not exactly that cause it was record breaking but Angeli was on pace with that until he got hurt….and our defense to look like a Tony White defense when he was here with Babers….that would be a complete and dangerous team. The potential is there

This is exciting. Looks like Kehres is on track to become a head coach, so if next season he puts a good product on the field he may not be on the hill for long. And I hope he can do that for SU and for himself. I also hope Robinson sticks around. Working as an assistant DC for a while will only make him better.

2 great coaching hires. Tons of experience in their respective fields and respect from players and other staffers. It’ll be exciting to see how they change our units and the improvement that’ll (hopefully) come with both.

Given what happened this past season, I amazed how optimistic I am about next season.

I mean we already knew how daunting that schedule was. We had the #1 offense and were starting to stake our claim to top plays on espn. Unfortunately our young coach made a young head coach mistake and whiffed on his qb analysis. It’s alright . Lick our wounds. Learn from it and move on.
