Vince Kehres: New DC

agree on both. It's going to be a breath of fresh air.

144 THIS!!!!

This will be the first time since maybe Tony White where I feel like the D can actually win us a game or 2,
rather than juuuuuust barely doing enough for the O to have to win it.

IF all he can do is make our D average, that’s such a massive improvement over what ERob’s… whatever that scheme was, ever did for us.

And it seems like we can actually be above average with Coach Vince at the helm.

I was curious to where last years turd related to the of this centuries rankings
2025 130th
2016 120th under Brian Ward

Yeah we really can't get much worse...
Agree the D was really bad last year but the O did them no favors. However any improvement on fundamentals will be a welcome sight.

I never thought we could win a game on the defensive side of the ball with E-Rob in charge.

I'm VERY excited to see the talent we have on that side of the ball play in this defense. Really a perfect hire. (whispers) And if Fran left after a successful year or two, Kehres is also a guy I could see staying on as the HC.
Hey you forgot the whisper font.

Someone I talked to who watches practice has told me that Vince brings much more command to practice. ERob was much more passive.

I think that will help the attention to detail, which has been missing.
And Fran won't have to spend time and mental cycles propping up the DC. Stands to reason you can kinda check out and let VK do his thing.

The new guy has a system and a plan and has used it.
the old guy had some concepts of an idea of a plan

The possible silver lining about last season is i believe Fran now needs to do quite a bit more to prove he's ready for a bigger job if he really even wants one. If he did great last year I guess its possible he's not here this year. But now I think he needs at least a couple more really good seasons in a row and needs to prove he can handle a few situations a bit better. Love Fran but he's still learning a bit on how to be a real good head coach in some ways. Hopefully he keeps winning and wants to stay.
