Vince Kehres: New DC

I think there could be an argument that our roster compared to the ACC is worse than Toldeo's roster compared to whatever conference they're in.

I am not making that argument because I don't even know what conference they're in.

All credit to Fran for 2024, he took what was an unspectacular, but very efficient (resource/money wise) roster from Dino and found the resources to elevate it. But he's 0/1 on building his own roster and trending towards 0/2.

If we're talking straight roster talent: Give me the team that smoked Clemson in Death Valley.

Lack of quality depth crushed us, and that's absolutely part of roster build. But 1s on 1s it's not even close.

I’m pretty optimistic about Cuse football, but I don’t think we beat Toledo after Angeli went down last year.

2025 after Angeli went down you are correct
In it's current form the 2026 roster we roll Toledo, they lost their full defense and we have their DC

It's really just that simple

Regardless if you like it or not the trajectory of Syracuse’s season would have been dramatically different If Angeli wasn’t injured and you couldn’t make this claim backed up by your in depth research.

I may not be a math geek… but I do have a mathematics degree among others from SU and your analysis doesn’t compute. It’s certainly an opinion but as for the math part? Well you might want a new handle.

So Sagarin ratings are based solely on the roster? If those units swap DCs there would be no difference?

We really should get more opinions on here. We need more skeptics and negative Nancys, more Marrone and HCSS supporters and more Rutgers and UConn hybrid SU fans to spice this place up.

Also we need more Hulks, Runners and trolls too!
