The question marks of our HS commits seem to be Mcmorris, Haile, Jameer Thomas, Jayden Brown, and Matthews-Canty, though I've seen indication from at least Brown, Haile, and Mcmorris that they seem to still be Orange

Yes, this is the last weekend for official visits before the early signing period, December 20 - 22.

However portal recruits who intend to enroll for the spring semester can start making campus visits again on January 3, 2024.
  • We may not see an influx of offensive line recruits visiting until this time (if we see them at all).

Jan. 3-7, 2024: Quiet period for two- and four-year college transfer prospective student-athletes who intend to enroll midyear. QUIET PERIOD Jan. 12 through Feb.

A quiet period is that period of time when it is permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution’s campus. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts or evaluations may be made during the quiet period. NO HOME VISITS​

The spring semester at Syracuse starts on January 16, 2024.

The second signing date for high school players is February 7, 2024.

I wasn't aware of the Jan 3 availability for visits. Great to see. I'd prefer everything done before early signing, but that's a huge ask, for the time they've had.

In retrospect, it may be a good strategy. We know our defense is getting an upgrade. Potential Oline will love that, because they may have more opportunity to run. They want to hit people, and Fran has already made that a priority. Nice RB flip.

WR weapons will be appealing for QB...

Fans like the high profile positions, so current gets keep the hype going.

I'd prefer to build from the inside, out, but this strategy could certainly have some proven commodities at Oline take notice... Hope so... ;-) I just wish there was more smoke, here...
