VT Attendance

Seems the Pitt game plus a nooner hurt attendance a bit, especially the students yesterday. We were able to make it at the last minute and glad we did.

That said, the game atmosphere was so square peg into a circle until SU started heating up. Then it got more authentic but but the MC or whatever he is and those drone/truck races to me are embarrassing.

I saw 4 old friends from my hometown including my cousin (his best friend went to Cuse and lives up here now).

The crowd there was intense bit we need more of ya.

For Homecoming Weekend and a 5-2 Orange playing a 4-3 Virginia Tech in still very meaningful football the attendance was atrocious. Coach Brown is building a PROGRAM and that PROGRAM needs support to attract top tier talent. Fannies in the seats do matter. Go Orange!!!

Stop blaming the fans, the crowd filled out quite well. There were 3k worth of empty student seats.

It is both. Even if every student seat was filled we would still be about 2k under capacity. Given that this was homecoming and a well known opponent, that is a poor job by our non students.

Non student seats looked fine other than the expensive visitor sideline lower uppers which are always the last to go. Best seats in the house of course.

First four games it looked like the AD did a good move giving the students the end zone but damn what they did yesterday with a 5-2 team and an NFL QB is pathetic.

Student turnout was pathetic.

At the same time even if 1k more students showed up we still would not have had our largest ACC home game this year. And even if 2500 more students showed up we would still be over 2500 away from the Holy Cross crowd.

It was a disappointing turnout for both. It is just a lot easier to see for the students.
