Good job by Cruz. Dakota Davis has regressed so much. Vetterollo should have been a tackle.

Gotcha. Watching live I saw Ilaoa try to pick up the block and thought it was him. I just re watched it. The 1 tech stunted into the left guard. Bradford wiffed on the 3 tech. llaoa tried to come in late to help inside.

I dont agree on him as a good center Dino sticks with lots of kids who aren't necessarily our best.

What did you see in Ilaoa? Because I didn’t think he was good. Him and Bradford struggled with 3 and 4 man pressures.

My comment is simply that i think Vet is better playing at a different position vs center. I dont know if IIoa is better than Vet but wonder if given the reps he wouldn't develop into a better center. Its not like Vet is great at the position.

Vett is probably better at tackle. D Davis is not good there. Cruz is solid but still has a ways to go. The real issue is that Ilaoa is clearly not good enough. I’m hoping next year he can lock that position up. Last night just confirmed he’s not ready. Besides what we saw physically, the position is more than snapping and blocking. He could be having lapses in line calls/checks. He could be struggling with foot and hand placement etc.. Schmidt and Anae would have him out there if he was better than Vett.
