Wanted: Killer Instinct

JB definitely took his foot off the gas way too early. It's as if he counted this as a win before it started and decided he was going to play the entire bench.

Yeah, it was more this.

We stayed with a lineup that wasn't clicking for an extended period of time. I think if we're in ACC play, or a more worthy opponent, he probably subs them out a bit more liberally.

I don't think he took his foot off the gas. He wanted the subs to get some experience, and they did. Unfortunately, the sub guards did not do well on defense. When Ennis and Cooney returned with only a 12-pt lead, the bleeding stopped.

We were playing three freshman midway through the second half. I'd call that taking your foot off the gas.

Look at the different lineups JB used. Especially when Fordham was making their little run. 3 frosh on at the same time. If the starters and the 2-3 subs, that I'm sure we will see during the year, played the minutes that they will be, this game is a rout. Coach knows what he's doing. Get these young guys some PT. When they get to Maui, I believe we should pretty much see the team that will be out on the floor most of the year.
