we had 7 drives the first half. scored 4 tds, the longest drive we had a fg. we failed the last drive of the half and after the fumble. thats about as efficient as we can get. the 4th quarter had the ball 3 times. a td a fg and a punt 25 plays, 130 yds and probably score a td if we needed it.

thats 7 scores in 10 drives.. 3 bad drives in the 3rd really skewed a pretty good effort .

with all that and such poor pass blocking not sure play calling is really the issue.

had the db's just made plays on balls the game probably plays out as expected, I wonder if coming off the rutgers loss and getting such an easy big lead in an empty stadium led to the team going so flat..

We had a 4th quarter TD?

Other than that, I think the offense showed a lot of good things, but still need to complete a deep ball, we were 0-3 in the 1st half, which may have led to Tulane increasing how aggressive they were in the 2nd half. Throwing it doesn't back people off, completing one could, completing two probably will.

Agree that the atmosphere could have contributed, I would hope we see a better D effort against WVU, but we're also playing a much more dangerous offense, so it might be hard to notice.

As bad as the offense felt at times in the 2nd half, the defense was really really bad most of the game. If the defense plays big then there would have been a lot less complaining about the offense when the game was over. Concerns, probably. But nowhere near as much.

Some of that Q3 is a tribute to Tulane -- getting a FG before half, coming out of the locker room charged up to play.

On the flip side, whatever Marrone told the team at halftime, and whatever adjustments he made for Q3, burn that script.

last three minutes of 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter was a disaster -- that destroyed what was an otherwise 'acceptable' offensive performance in the other quarters
