I’m a Syracuse native but have lived in San Diego for almost 25 years.

San Diego is great for fans traveling here; I recommend staying the weekend and enjoying. The game is centrally located in Mission Valley so there are many hotels nearby. Balboa Park, Hotel Del Coronado, Old Town, Gaslamp are all a short Uber or trolley ride away.

Don't live in SD, but I've visited a couple times. To add to the list - for those who want to get outdoors, I highly recommend Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve for an easy hike with incredible views. It's in La Jolla. I forget the name of the loop, but you drive up to the top, park, and there are a few options - you want the one that goes out to the ocean/overlooks. It's pretty flat, just make sure you don't wear sandals or wander off the trails, although the rattlesnakes should be hibernating by now. Hard to beat the views looking out on the Pacific from up there!

The trolley has recently been expanded to go from Mission Valley all the way to UTC and UCSD. From the UCSD campus, it’s an easy walk to the Gliderport and black’s beach.

Silly question, but is there a line that's an old one like the cable cars in San Fran? Or is trolley just the local term for the rail system in SD?

There are multiple trolley lines throughout San Diego. San Diego Metropolitan Transit System

We do not have any cable cars like San Francisco, but there are some all day hop on hop off tours that will take you to all the top spots.
