I'd probably go straight man or cover 2 man, if i was them, and dare us to beat them over the top. That's what we normally see and will likely continue to until we prove to have someone that can peel the top off a defense.

They won't get their LB's outside the box unless they are tracking a rb into the flat. Their backers are solid and take good pursuit angles. I was admittedly impressed with their discipline vs counters. Suffice to say we need to prove we can get the corner before they will over pursue.

Perhaps I used the wrong term for what my brain meant. I didn't mean soft zone cover 3 or cover 4. Essentially I wouldn't blitz my backers and would have one of them with man responsibility on the RB if my backers are athletically able to do so. That, theoretically, works until Dungey proves to them he can break contain and make things happen with his feet.

That's seriously all you got from this thread? Why don't you chime In with what you saw tendency wise from either team or how you would attack either side? Bring something other than being upset we aren't fawning all over your team like they're lsu. I've been complimentary to you lb's, your qb, and your defensive discipline in this thread as well as pointing out what I saw as reasons for optimism on our end. Feel free to join the convo or simply don't read it.
