The NBA has started to take notice of our stellar freshman point guard. His name is now popping up on multiple draft boards from a mid first to late first round status. As we all know, it's not about being ready, it's about leaving when your stock is at its peak. Tyler's stock is definitely rising, and the shortcomings in his game can just as easily be worked on in the pro's as they could from another year on the hill. We should all enjoy the ride as we enter 2014, and root on Tyler no matter what his decision at the end of the year will be. Go Orange!

As was just stated, he is coming back next year.

No different then most years, I think we all understand who is going pro like Wes,Waiters, Fab, MCW and this year we will lose Ennis, Grant and Fair will graduate

We will see what the future holds

While I think he will be back one more year, you are correct, we don't know for sure nor do the posters saying almost factually that he will. Nobody knows right now. Not even JB or Ennis himself. During the Nova game there was a tweet about a couple of NBA scouts drooling over his play. Time will tell.

Every year there is denial on this board about kids heading to the NBA. If he is showing up on some mock boards it is likely to happen unless he decides he doesn't want to leave early. Point guards are a premium in the nab. In my opinion Tyler will have problems defensively but on the offensive end he is ready...

His stock will certainly be at its peak if he brings JB his second glass slipper. Let's hope he reaches the top.

The difference last year is everyone knew MCW was leaving after the season regardless of the debates over his readiness. With Ennis, no one truly knows at this point and most reports including from JB himself, point to him coming back next year.

I will never buy this as the best strategy for all players. If you're not ready, you won't get minutes and may not get a 2nd contract. Several of our early entrant "strike when it's hot" guys are out of the league already.

The way the Ennis star is rising, I am afraid he is as good as gone. With the ave. NBA career 5-6 yrs. and the ave. player age falling, any kid who becomes a lottery pick is obliged to go. All those well intentioned counter arguments about the value of staying, are out the window. I know he lacks some NBA preferred traits, but they are overshadowed if he becomes a lottery pick.

I am glad JB is giving Gbinije 15 mins a game. He will be key to our success next year. While Joseph will be a very good Frosh, don't expect him to be an Ennis repeat show. Won't happen.

Let's take a trip back in time to December 2012:
any by the way, you should put as many accurate statements on this board as I do. I didn't say mcw was coming back, did I? I said we were a long ways away. Which we were. From what I have heard, Ennis is coming back.

we were. and mcw is 6-6.

You think Ennis will get to 6'6 by staying another year? Nobody knows what will happen. Ennis probably has every intention of returning but it only takes 1 NBA GM to think he's ready even based only on potential.

You better be incredible on offense, if your defense isn't ready. Look at someone like Kendall Marshall. Very good college PG, great floor general type...shaky outside J and poor defensive skills. He couldn't even get on the court for Phoenix despite being the 13th pick and on a rebuilding team, lasted a year with them, couldn't make Washington's team, and is now struggling to get minutes in LA where all the guards are hurt! 13th pick, 22 years old...and he's in danger of not sticking in the league already!

Yet that did not stop Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State ) from coming back. Boom !!!!!

Which only points to the fact that there is no guarantee one way or the other.

Did I say that? Wow. Of course we don't know if Ennis will come back for sure. This is suppose to be a very deep draft that that helps the cause of Ennis returning. I don't see a team taking him real early in the draft. But if one will, he would probably have to leave. Put it this way, if he can go in the first 5 or 6 picks, I will tell him to leave.

My opinion. That is why we have these boards I believe. And I was refering to your moronic statement that I was saying that ennis would grow to 6-6.

As A Syracuse fan, all I can say is," next man up."

Yours and the post you were agreeing with didn't come across as opinion at all and that there was even a chance he could leave.

LOL You and Jake and me and everyone else are wrong all the time. The thing is, this is a message board. You get info and you make the best of it. Right now, I believe he is coming back. Could that change, of course. We were in the ACC back in the early 2000's, right? I have learned a lot of stuff before others on this board that I only share off the board with some posters because of posts just like yours. I learned my lesson when I told everyone here before it was ever annouced that Hopkins was the coach in waiting and that it was in stone. I got killed for that. Obviously, this is a bit different because Ennis has months to decide. But one thing is for sure, I will never post breaking news on this board again.
