We got Flipped

What's wrong with the way our program is run? I tend to think Penn State has some major advantages over SU, don't you?
A great many fans, being one.

Me too, mostly because we suck at it.

As we are in the middle of one of the best classes we've brought to Syracuse in 6 years. Great post.

One-time Syracuse football recruit Jason Cabinda flips his verbal commitment to Penn State

Saw Cabinda play two weeks ago. He could turn out to be a great LB but from my first impression, wasn't really impressed.

Disappointed that anyone still wants to go there.

The hollow men, the stuffed men.
Go to a home game and then look at their facilities...that's why (yes I've done both, very impressive).

It's funny how we react when we lose a player, but didn't we just flip a guy that had committed to Miami? I doubt this will be the last one on both ends.

the kid had de-committed from Miami a few months ago because they brought on 2 other qb's.

Cabinda had PSU #1 the whole time, he just didn't have an offer. I'm gonna go ahead and blame the NCAA. It's their fault

The guy who owns the Sabres (a Penn State alum) gave Penn State $88 million for a new hockey arena. And we have trouble raising money for an IPF.

This type class isn't built on one person.
I don't believe this anymore. We've had all kinds of classes where we've said that. It gets you a roster with limitations at key positions.

They all matter.

Not a surprise at all, as others mentioned he was high on Pedo State from the beginning. As soon as the scholarships opened up I knew we would lose 1 or more recruits.

Great fan support, I actually hate their stadium, One of those that they just kept adding and adding sections, Its crappy to watch a game there I thought but then again I am used to being right on top of the action at the dome.

Agreed uncomfortable and ugly...a giant erector set. Tailgating can't be beat though...but traffic is bad for those arriving inside of 90 minutes of kickoff.

Still the Michigan stadium circa 1998 was the most uncomfortable seating ever...loved being allocated about 14-16 inches of sitting room.

Yep, If your going to expand use the ND method . They built a new perimeter and managed to keep the stadium site lines half way decent.

we didnt flip him. he decomitted before we snagged him

Way to single out one site. Looking at stars, and trying to judge before they set on campus makes you uninformed. Look at other offers and look at other schools recruiting the player.

Your tag says Syracuse realist. You're probably the same type of fan that refuses to go to a Syracuse home game on a Saturday because it's raining.

Make that 2 flips.

Unfortunately blowouts don't spell opportunity to someone who likes winning no matter how hard you spin it. If we went 6-6 and kept games other than Clemson and Fl State close that would do the trick with MacDonald doing his thing...but no one wants to look silly on TV because the coaches can't figure out how to utilize the talent they have in place.
