No contest, Matt Tomaszewski, Brandon Reese, Griffin Hoffman, Matt Lyde-Cajuste, & Nick Resavy could play on many D-1 teams. I'm thinking the five of them together could beat some D-1 teams!

They would be the starting line-up at Binghamton this year...would make a competitive America East team.

I don't know if we have the best walk-ons in the country, but we definitely have the most walk-ons in the country.

I think we have more walk-ons on this team than St John's has players on their team.

BS. People grossly overestimate walkons and what they do in garbage time.

If you need a 3 at the end of a game... Do we send Tomaszewski out there too?

Yeah, being able to do trick shots is the same as being able to play on a team during a real game.

Here's Texas A&M's starting point guard:

Reese and Tomaszewski, could definitely get a scholarship and significant playing time at most other D1 schools. The rest, I'm not so sure.

Most other D1 schools?

Again, I like our walkons, but let's not go overboard here. Most walkons are basically just good D3 players, with very few exceptions.

There are over 300 D1 teams. Are you telling me that Reese and Tomaszewski couldn't play for Albany?

Reese? No, except maybe as a 10th man. I don't know about Tomaszewski, I don't think some of you realize just how good D1 players are in every conference.

Generally agree with this, but if you objected to my statement I'm going to guess you haven't seen Hartford, UMBC, or Binghamton now that Sutton is gone.

Reese is the most overrated player in Syracuse history. Kid turns it over half the time trying to break pressure the opposing walk-ons put on - but people still think he could play for real. He's pretty fast and that's about it.

Dislike!
wow...you are not serious are you? As a walk on he's very good...probably could start with other D-1 teams.

Couldn't have said it better myself. No need to bash walk-ons, but Reese is one of the more out-of-control players in memory and really struggles when he's in the game. I'm not sure what the infatuation with that guy is; I still remember that nut trying to argue that he should be playing over Scoop last year.

Certainly not looking to start an argument, but in what way is he very good (for a walk-on or otherwise)? He plays pretty decent minutes for an end-of-bench guy but seems to bring very few positive basketball skills to the table.

There is zero chance Reese would start for any team in D1. Zero.

You haven't seen Chicago State play, have you?...

Binghamton and Hartford aren't far ahead.

He may not start, but he could definitely see some time.

Matt T transferred here from D2. Reese had offers for low D-1 schools. Nick had offers to play soccer but not basketball. He's on the team to set himself up to be a coach later in life. The others could not play D-1 anywhere.

Oh and if people knew Brandon Reese outside of the team they wouldn't like him. Kid's a dick.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't personally like over half the student-athletes at Syracuse. Including some of my favorite players of all time. What's your point?

Don't air out your dirty laundry because you don't like someone on a forum. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
