Guy from NC State is 6-6 and shooting ~57% from 3 (25-44 so far). If we can extend and cover him we should be golden but he's the type of player that has been known to hurt us.

Kinda thought this thread might go there but wouldnt be til a few replies in. At least none on you went with a BF reference...

I don't think NCState's Wood is that big. That was the word out of Bernie's office anyhow.

That Wood will be hard to cover. He's been covered before and has broken through quite often, which poses a problem to whoever is on him. He can certainly make it rain.

It would be beneficial to us if we had "the glove" to cover Wood and not allow him to release his shots

Ha ha ha...you guys said, "wood." Speaking of wood, Beavis & Butt-head's glorious return has been fantastic. Last night's episode, in which they try to be bounty hunters, was one of the all-time best episodes.

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

we all would have a woody if we make him shoot blanks...on a more serious note; first guard to let him hit a 3 on wing is coming out quickly...oh for premature defense

He is usually hardest to stop first thing in the morning. If you're not ready, he can slip past the best man defenses. Surpringly, he's been known to have a drink or two if he's gonna be asked to go extended minutes.

its not the penatration or the ball handeling that will be the hardest thing to defend from Wood...but Wood can deliver much pressure from deep, and that could be a problem if we dont stick it to Wood and leave little breathing room.

The way I look at it, let's say D = Wood's productivity in this game.
And let's say C = Triche's defense skill rating.

Ideally, in order for us to make him a non-factor, D+C = 0, so they cancel out.

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that Triche's defense skill rating is about a -8.

So, D - 8 = 0

Therefore, 8=====D

I fear that Wood can be counted on to stroke it aggressively and expose gaping holes in any defense we erect, eventually pounding away and scoring in huge spurts.

Did anybody save the Lucious Pusey thread(s)? Those had to have been some of the very best posts that ever graced our sick little community.

Didn't see the most recent but I agree, they have all been tremendous. The one where they are working in the burger store and learn they can take bathroom breaks on their shift is awesome.

Is he really that good of a shooter? I heard he was hard to stop going to the hole.

Earlier in the season, Wood shot very well against Morehead State.

(Few things in life more mature than going to NC State's schedule for the sole purpose of trying to find a sexual sounding opponent).

Wood will probably be in our guards' faces defensively all game long as well. Our only hope is that Wood has trouble maintaining his performance for 40 minutes.
