Not fouling a jump shooter is not a difficult skill to learn. Stop trying to block the shot and just get a hand up. Jump straight up. Easy.

You might not have seen the play. The one we're talking about was Lydon attempting to foul the Wake player on the floor but he went up for a halfcourt shot to try to get 3 free throws instead of 2. Lydon wasn't trying to contest the shot.
