Week 0-3 Kickoff Times Announced

Think 12 noon always favors the visiting team, which is essentially what we are, so I like this
I think it is the opposite... But it depends on the direction of travel. If SU goes west, yes when visiting (time) thing. But, if your team comes in just the night before... They are all tired of travel with no timezone change.

Nah not a quick plane trip like this, especially direct. I’m saying this not metaphorically but from experience.

When you are traveling for game, you are already out of your element and routine and following A strict schedule, concentrating 100% on the task at hand meaning the game and the prep for it.

When you’re home for a game, you have all the usual distractions around you to reduce one’s concentration, from your girlfriend to your friends, to the dorm antics to your school work etc.

PLUS You have to wake up early, and are not as with it, and if you’re playing a team you're expected to beat then this is all magnified even more (remember for ex us at VT circa early 2000’s upset).

This is unlike the visiting team, who is already, as I said, more ready focused already out of their element following the away routine and more ready to go.

And if you are the underdog team (which it seems we are so often more times than not) with a legit chance at an upset cuz ur good, in that circumstance, playing away at 12 noon, you are already fired up vs ho humm mindset of the favored home team playing a team they’re expected to beat just going through the regular routine motions.

This day and age coaches recognize this all and often even the home team they’ll put in a hotel the night before but it’s still on ur home turf.

Thats a good point. I was thinking of it from a logistical level regarding time. Your right as when I travel for work I leave all the home distractions aside, personal items, and everything else while focusing on the task. It's basically a reprieve.

UConn - ouch. It's only on the internet and they still make it a noon kickoff?

Of course that Uconn game is a Nooner of fn course. Brutal

On the other hand Colgate on ACC network and a 7pm kick ….. if your one of those annoying glass half full types .

Beats another Nooner the following Sat, though a 7pm Sat kick would have been nice, lol.

our home schedule stinks

2 friday night games (1 being halloween) and just no juice given that's all away from the dome this year

The UNC home game is I assume the ACC request/directive so I give that a pass and the Halloween factor is cool enough I can roll with it. The Gate game on Friday I don't get at all, I mean the 7pm start beats a nooner the next day but how about 3:30 or like an oddball tart like 4 or 5 pm on Saturday? With only six home games how about throwing the fanbase a freekin bone.

Yeah I get it with UNC but you lose the highschool football crowd AND parents with kids under a certain age likely are out too with trick or treating (or its a mad rush to get to the dome after lol)

Colgate's saving grace is 8 days between that and Clemson so ... yay?

But you're right. 6 home games and two are on friday nights its just tough
