I think about it logically— did SMU not “faith” hard enough?

If SMU gets hammered by a 3-loss, #17 team they probably don’t deserve to be in. I don’t buy for a second that the committee won’t penalize a team for losing a conference champ game. That room has all the integrity of Spiro Agnew on a coke binge.

One thing against SMU (11-2) is no top 25 wins. They beat Pitt and LVille (9-3) both ranked at the time neither ranked now, and they beat Duke (9-3).

Penn State. 11-2, one top 25 win; Illinois. But Ranking Illinois over Louisville and Duke is completely subjective. All 3 teams are 9-3. Penn States other wins are against no one better then 7-5 or 6-6.

This is what I was going to post. Best case scenario for ACC. Will be very surprised if SMU doesn't make it. It's one thing if they got blown out-They lost on a 56-yd FG. Can't knock them out for that.
