This week so many teams had the chance to beat ranked teams. But only Illinois, Northern Illinois, Iowa State and Syracuse actually could do it. Most ranked teams recovered in the fourth quarter.

And yet the acc has wins against every other major conference this week. Florida State has lost to ACC teams.

Cal beating Auburn is not as memorable as Georgia thumping Clemson on a far more-viewed stage. Ditto Tennessee-NC State.

I don’t understand how Rutgers fans are pumping up their team and saying they have a Heisman-potential running back when they’ve played two pushover teams. I also can’t comprehend how Rutgers is getting out of playing any of Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Oregon this year. USC and Nebraska will roll them but still.
