Week 5 ACC Games...

Texas st. Is actually good and talented. BC is finding their way. My point is that they have a dynamic young coach and qb and will develop the OL and DL as they always do. They even have skill guys like the TE, Long, who is a junior and 6'5", 253# with wheels. Their OC uses the whole field. We could learn a bit from the way they go about their biz.

Also, after the GT win, we started counting wins the rest of the way, which I found a bit nutty. This BC team will be a huge challenge for us.

I don’t understand why its a given that they’ll develop OL and DL like they always do.

well they did out gain them 520 to 300 and jackson never moved the ball after the 2nd quarter.

True, I just like their direction and they do the most with what they are dealt. They over recruit for boston being a crappy college fb town, they develop OL and DL and even rbs and wrs, lbs, hell they throw alot of talent into the NFL and this coach is a star in the making. They were right there with UNC.

You and I have had some good chats, I understand the rivals of cuse like pitt and BC will be tough arguments, just trying to look at our rivals objectively. I get it though.

They already have a good foundation and I have confidence in their coach and his staff. I know its a tough argument promoting teams that are rivals and hated on the board. I get it. They are already doing things on offense I would love to see at cuse and Hafley is just getting started. He will get one of the big 15-20 p5 jobs in 3 years IMO.

Nope. I’m not sure why we assume they’ll develop OL as well without the guy who did it for them for years. I wasn’t impressed with what they were doing on O and I’m not all that impressed with their QB.

Hafley is an unproven commodity as HC. Today was ok - Adazzio like, IMO.

BC threw the ball 56 times today for over 300 yards. Total philosophy change on offense. That might be good for SU because they bludgeoned us on the ground In the past.

transfer qb.

We passed on Long. HS 40 of 4.58. Its closer to 4.7 now, with the added weight. He and Froumy were HS teamates.

I'm not as impressed with BCs line play. They've done a decent job at pass pro, but run block has fallen off. Its not because Dillon is gone. Its the scheme and change of focus. BC will be tough.

transfer qb.

who is good and will be an NFL prospect. BCs tight end and lead receiver are far superior to ours. Hafley is building something there. Key will be to get him out of BC and to a Big 10 program pronto. Could end up going to Michigan if Jim leaves

I was gonna say the same thing. They don't look like the line that is considered the best in the ACC. Hunter Long is a stud and the transfer QB is gutsy but is prone to mistakes. He tries to make a play out of everything and that can hurt him down the road. I feel good going against a BC team without a dominant run game.

he has a hired gun qb and so how do you know what he’s building?

In terms of him leaving, who knows what his aspirations are. He’s from NJ and played at Siena. Yes the same Siena in Albany, NY.

We passed on long but how nice workd he look running down the seem now with our limited options and nothing wrong with 4.5-4.7 with that size. He is in a better spot bc our offensive staff aren't too acquainted with the middle of the field.

He'd look like Benson or Hackett. Each of our guys had more TDs than him last year, and Benson is faster. (Please use our tight ends).

Their leading rusher has 112 yards. He bested that in many single games with Addazio. They've changed focus. The really good previous areas look pedestrian, what was pedestrian now looks really good. I don't think our guys look much different in that situation.

I like the bc QB but they needed a miracle to beat Texas st at home. No one is counting wins and bc may very well blow our doors off but that doesn't mean they are a good team.

Each week is different. Escaping a game like that doesn't mean repeat games like that. But yes, they really should have lost. Texas St imploded.

Last year BC was steamrolled by Kansas, a lot of good that did us.

Their TE is going to be really hard for us to stop.

LONG is an NFL size te, 2 inches taller and 20# bigger than out tes. And he is longer. That's a huge difference whether people want to acknowledge or not.
