Like we said, I don’t think it was the roster this year. On paper it’s a good roster. But how they played was the opposite of what Gmac said on how his teams will be coached “prepared, tough, etc”

This fanbase is like a nuclear reactor. It took a lot of things to go wrong for it it build up, but it is just begging to explode with a relevant Cuse team. Money is money and the main deciding factor, but show any prospective player this event on how you can become immortalized in Central/Upsate/North Country if you win. You do not have to play a minute of pro ball, if your playing career ends with Cuse but results in you winning you will be a folk hero the rest of your life. If this team even tastes a modicum of relevancy at the start of next season with early results the dome is going to be packed.

I think I saw him mentioned recently in connection to the GM position. Apparently he is currently a scout in the Pistons organization. Wouldn’t be on staff as a coach

He would be a great player development guy, or some sort of made-up position that every other P4 team has 10 of.

But he would be on staff to recruit. Gerry mentioned that is what he envisions for his GM. And for what it’s worth, they were tight I think from their jersey retirement.

They might be tight because of a certain blocked shot.

From the rumors, it was not really the money that Schertz isn’t with Syracuse. So I’m sure if they were willing to give Schertz a lot, some of that is being repurposed for the assistant pool.

That guy hosting on ACC Network is AWFUL. He started the show with "it's sunny at the JMA Wireless Dome in Central Connecticut". Huh? Dumb A**.
