If GMAC does this right he’s given them their home for the next 20 years. I’m sure they and especially his wife are ecstatic given how big of a pain moving is.

I’m obviously speculating here, but one potential advantage of GMac is that because he has such strong roots and an emotional attachment to Syracuse, he’s probably much more likely to stay here long term if he’s successful.

I know nothing about Hodgson, Stertz, etc. but because there have zero connection to SU, in theory they would be more likely to take one of the handful of better college jobs than Syracuse if it became available or go to the NBA.

This is strong point in gmac’s favor over BH. BH just seems like an aggressive climber who belongs in the sec or big. Maybe I’m wrong and Syracuse was really his dream school, but I believe we were another stop on the elevator ride up. With GMAC we know that’s not the case.

Or maybe I’m wrong and bh would have been here for the next 20+ years… world will never know

This guy has coached 17 first round picks and 4 lottery selections and a #1 pick as well. Has done HS (northeast ties) and college. Would be great
