Class of 2025 We're # 6!

We aren’t dropping that much if any at all. There’s only 5 top 10 kids uncommitted and 6 in the top 50. Dybantsa will go to BYU, but the rest of those kids are going to schools already ranked ahead of us like Duke, UK, and Kansas. There’s also a real good chance some of our signees move up in the rankings.
Fair enough, this might be one of the years where our class sneaks into the backend of the top10 without being truly elite...

Or maybe Fennell and Womack get ranked after additional scouting/respect due to their Syracuse commitment. I'm really curious about this one. They would both automatically hit the top100 if Duke, Kansas or a few other top programs took their commitments. Does Red have anything like that pull in the recruiting game?

I'm hoping for one more top recruit, though. We're not technically out on a few we would love to have.

It’s very similar to the Lydon/Mali class that was top 10. We should not be concerned about HS recruiting. Red knows what he’s doing. Bottom half of the top 10 fits our historical profile and where we should be. We aren’t outrecruiting the blue bloods.

That said I think it’s fairly obvious Choppa Moore would have been a universal top 50’guy had he been in the EYBL instead of the Adidas circuit. Fennell is a good player too. The staff is identifying talent. It’s the in game coaching we need improvement on.

Aussie's are usually well coached, and tough.

That 2015 class was top10 only if you count Diagna. I do not.

Without him, they were outside the top10.

I do count the Richardson 29, Lydon 72, Howard 79 class to be something of a model for our future.

One top30 player, two other guys in the top100 would be a great class to get every year.

Unfortunately, that was the second best class in the 2011-2020 decade, where it should be slightly below average if we want to be a consistent top10 team.

Red already has two classes better than that in his two recruiting years, three if you want to give him credit for Starling and Westry right after getting hired.

EDIT: I would also point out that from 2017 through 2023, we never even got honorable mention in JB's decline phase.
