We're Bowling..

For whatever it's worth, this particular algorithm gives us a 7% chance of making the playoff if we go 10-2.

I saw a Peach Bowl rep in the men’s room post game. He was wearing his blue blazer along with the bowl patch and a shiny brass nameplate.

Peach bowl might be interested in us, however, with us playing the chick fil a kickoff game there for the first game of 2025 it’s going to be a really hard sell for them

Spoke with the Peach Bowl reps (there were 2 guys there) briefly after the game. They said they were visiting as a "show of respect" to SU and VTech. I could be wrong but I think the Peach Bowl is hosting one of the quarter final CFP games in January. They did talk about SU playing in the kickoff game and were "very impressed" with the game atmosphere in the JMA.

You are correct, on January 1st.

Maybe not. They won't have trouble selling out. They know Tennessee fans will pack the place. It's only a 3 hour drive.

Right but the Peach bowl is also a playoff bowl this year so there is no selection committee for it

We won’t be in the peach bowl
So I guess their interest level and us playing in the kickoff game doesn't matter either way.

Eight games in, check off that box. Hasn't always been pretty but won't matter a year from today. Let's go Orange!
Does it really matter? After opt outs, it will be similar to last year. You really don't expect McCord to play do you?

The current Bowls are like NFL preseason games, a test of which team has the better backup players.

That's exactly the mentality we want from our coach. I do hope as fans we recognize and celebrate that qualifying for bowls three straight seasons is a meaningful accomplishment. We want to be consistent winners. Consistent winners make bowls. It's not even a question when they're recruiting guys if a player can expect to have their season get extended.

Reminds me of another guy who set a high standard.

If things fall right and Miami has an ACC title game clinched why would Ward even play in the SU game.

the goal is to win the ACC and get the bye. 12-0 vs 11-1 doesnt matter . it only matters if they think losing to SMU they still get in at 12-1 and I dont know that it does given they would have zero good wins.

McCord could make a roster. he is smart and gets rid of the ball quick

His lack of mobility will hurt, and he has a nice arm, not an elite arm.

How many low mobility QBs are there now?

The Purdue kid for one
