What A Day To Be Orange!

So happy for these kids and the staff. We beat a very good team today. Some takeaways:

The defensive line played awesome, Clark and Slayton ate up blocks and penetrated all day while the defensive ends did a much better job of holding the edge. All against a huge Oline.

Ellison is cordy 2.0. Great job by him and the rest of the secondary tackling all day. Our tackling was crisp against big and fast athletes.

We beat a top 20 team with our B- game on offense . Encouraging. It was great to see use use the middle of the field a bit and limit the bubbles.

ED is a grinder. Think he is still running too much and needs to stick with his reads a bit longer but i love this kid. A winner.

Thank god the abysmal play sequence at first and goal in the second quarter didn't hurt us in the end.

I sit 3 rows from the visiting bench on the 40. In my 10 years, i have not seen a bigger football team visit the dome. Also very athletic. Our kids wanted it more tonight. We hit hard and crisp all day!

Yes, we need to upgrade in certain areas, but our TALENT is better than most think. We have some players and yhe coaches schemed well tonight.
