What happened to Triche?

Waiters AND Scoop were pretty awful. I'm baffled as to why Brandon sat for so long.

Typically, the answer is that the other two guards were playing better down the stretch. But tonight, it was a head scratcher.

When we need a bucket, JB needs to stop drawing up the "Dion dribbles around and then forces a last second fadeaway" - it's not working.

If Triche wasn't injured then JB owes me a hangover and some hair.

I was screaming for Triche in the last 6 minutes. Scoop was very shaky tonight and I'm thinking - it might be nice to have FT shooter in the game... Oh well, it worked. But I don't like the probability distribution with Scoop and Dion playing crazy-ball like they were both doing late.

Triche was probably the most solid player on the team in the first half. Really a head scratcher why we didn't see him in the second half.

Looked like he pulled up lame on that awkward fast break early in the first half. Might have stiffened up or something.

Did anyone see JB's presser? If so, was this addressed?

JB's handling of Triche is baffling. He has had several games this year where he sits for 10+ minute stretches at a time. I don't get it.

not addressed at all...no mention of Triche at all...not a question either. JB said Scoop played well...had five assts or whatever...didnt try to score but make plays...JB complained about rebounding...but zilch on Triche

I was screaming along with you. Totally perplexing.

Triche was feeling it after that 3, wish he would play with more confidence. He's so good and he doesn't know it.

Not sure...but Triche couldn't get around anybody for penetration purposes. Maybe that...

I noticed that Brandon looked hobbled after a play under the basket toward the end of the 1st half. It looked like it was his right leg or groin. To me, it seems like the only plausable reason for sitting him for pretty much the entire 2nd half. Waiters was in full bloom as far as displaying the bad habits he has been showing us lately.

Ya never know, it could be true, but once again we have the "player X didn't play so he must be hurt" theory. JB knows Scoop needs to be out there in crunch time for his senior leadership and experience. Dion may have his What moments, but still has explosiveness potential at any moment that they might need it, and JB knows it.

Scoop Jardine is a 5th year senior and up for the Cousy award. One of the best pg's in college basketball

:rolling:

Tonight What > explosive potential

Not sure why everyone thinks Brandon should have played more.

He's our best player ;)

Jay Bilas said he could be our best player once...so, he should play in crunch time.

I would have loved to have ridden the amped Triche also, its so uncommon to see Brandon get so pumped. He plays so well when he's aggressive. Although I may have like to have seen BT more, Dion does bring the threat of blowing by his defender and maybe that was the goal to collapse the defense more - the problem was that Dion didn't do much of this in this game.

I don't care. We won. I want a win at UCONN and a win @ Louisville would REALLY make my day.
