Is it becoming another Syracuse.com? There have been more negative posts than positive posts after a hug win. Yeah, EM is not a power house but still . . . CTO posts an article that the coaching transition isn't hurting recruiting and most of the replies call it a lie. SU's dissection of a zone shows their ineffectiveness against m2m. Come on people. It was a WIN!

I am usually very positive, and I think this team will figure things out. But, their dissection of a zone does not show their ineffectiveness against m2m. Their ineffectiveness against m2m shows their ineffectiveness against man. I am sure they are working on it in practice and will get it figured out, but it takes some time for all these pieces to fit together.

This thread is so ridiculous.

A lot of the criticism is warranted right now and is backed by analysis. Nobody is renouncing their Syracuse fandom. Nobody is wishing ill-will on anyone. We are dissecting what we see on the court and discussing the state of recruiting, coaching and program building.

Taurean Thompson is being praised all over the place on here. Why?.. Because he deserves the praise.

Roberson is being analyzed on here. Why?... Because he's not playing well. Everyone wishes him well and hopes he turns it around but his play warrants discussion on the Syracuse Message Board.

I happen to think this board is pretty measured and people generally bring substance to their praise and criticisms.

I think this board has been very even-keeled considering this is our worst start to a season in decades.

It's almost the new year and we don't have a single quality win. Our RPI is 173. Beating EMU handily is nice, but it doesn't mean anything. We already knew that Frank and Gillon can dominate crap opponents.

It is mostly dead which is a good thing. People are realizing that if they don't have anything constructive to say, it is often best to just keep quiet.

I banned myself from posting until at least a full day after losing to Uconn and Gtown. Games where we did so many things wrong but still should have won against two programs I despise.

I don't think some people visit other internet forums too much. Admittedly, I don't either really. However, I have been to some other ones over the years and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff that is out there. Specifically, the Nc St forum a couple of years ago. It was a cess pool.

Nothing wrong with the forum -- it is exactly where it should be considering the state of things. It certainly is not what that other board turned out to be. Any fan board in our situation would have a somewhat negative tone right now -- it's part of fandom.

It's hard to stay positive when Syracuse doesn't (and won't) have a quality win under their belts going into ACC play. Sure, last night was fun to watch and hopefully a step in the right direction, but we as fans have been setup in the same scenario 3 or 4 times so far this year only to be followed by disappointment. I, too, am hoping that this team can get it's act together and take advantage of the talent they show flashes of, but only time will tell at this point...not another blowout win against an inferior mid-major opponent.

Including the guy pining for giving Autry's son a shot at PG and the guy that agreed with him?
Oh yeah, nothing wrong here

;)

i believe CTO's NYT piece makes it pretty clear that the HC transition is affecting recruiting. everyone interviewed says it played into their calculation.
secondly i try always posting about syracuse and the program and not other posters. i listen . but i really don't let other peoples opinions get to me.
