People loved Mookie unconditionally. It was the weirdest thing.

He'd play more minutes than Christian White and that's it. He was a 2G who didn't play defense or handle the ball, so thinking he'd see the floor over Cooney or Patterson is just not realistic.

He might be effective getting kick out passes when christmas is doubled from either the weak side or as the entry passer if his man leaves to double. He can be an effective catch and shoot player and if he got the shots Ron has been getting, he would definitely knock more of those down. think overall his defense would kill us. He might be worse on D than KJ is right now.

He would have forced teams to guard him on the perimeter on offense which would help Rak/G/Coon/Tyler since we have two guards who currently are left alone out there. Of course he'd give up plenty of shots on defense himself while also being a down grade from a ballhandling standpoint to Buss/Kaleb.

It was entertaining to watch him come in during blow outs and catch fire unfortunately the few times JB put him in during undecided games hoping he could make some 3's it didn't happen and the lack of bringing much else to the court forced JB to sit him back down.

I don't know that I even understand the question. Are you suggesting [even if we suspend disbelief / violate time travel rules of physics] that if we could transpose Mookie's senior year that he didn't play here, and put him on this squad?

I mean, I don't see how he could be any worse offensively than BJ and Ron. He'd probably play. And he'd probably contribute more offensively than those two have, realistically.

Mookie got shafted at SU, not developed. He was the best ever to come out of Peekskill and should never have picked SU, but he loved the school and it swayed his mind.
