Of these schools, which would you not root for? Basically you would root for one of the others on list over the school you picked.

- Notre Dame
- Texas
- Ohio State
- UConn
- Rutgers
- USC
- Auburn
- Alabama
- Florida St
- Miami
- Florida
- Penn St.
- Virginia Tech

For me, it would be Alabama.

Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, USC, Penn State, Connecticut, and Texas. Notre Dame is close to making the cut.

Virginia Tech, Alabama, Penn State, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, UCLA, and Arizona.

Notre Lame. I might have picked someone else but they are once again pulling their independent BS while getting the spoils of the ACC's bball conference.

By BCS league

SEC- Florida
B1G- Penn St
B12- Texas
P12- Oregon
ACC- Virginia Tech
BE- Rutgers

Penn State.

When looking at colleges, my father (an SU grad) told me he would pay for me to attend any college that I could get into. At the same time, he told me that he would NOT pay for me to go to either PSU or ND. Having grown up in Western PA, my hatred for that school runs deep. And it was developed eons before Jerry Sandusky became eligible for a bilateral orchidectomy...

I hate every school but Syracuse unless they are playing Rutgers, VT, WFVU, BC or Miami. Then I hope for a beatdown of epic proportions. If those schools play each other, an earthquake on-site would do.

I will never root for Penn State or Buttgers. PSU because they are the evil empire, and Buttgers because that would be embarrassing.

Virginia Tech, everyone in the SEC other than Vanderbilt, Penn State

By BCS league

SEC- Auburn
B1G- Nebraska
B12- Kansas State
P12- Washington State (no strong hate for anyone in this conference so I'll take the doormat)
ACC- Virginia Tech
BE- Rutgers

All of the above.

Texas. Solely because of their fans. Those damned t-shirt fans get on my nerves year-round here in Austin.

I do enjoy basketball season with them, though. They buy into their soft schedule preseason hype and ESPN love every single year, only to be crushed by a weak big 12 every single year and finish middle of the pack. Its great.

Boston College, Notre Dame, Any other ACC school except us, Any SEC school except Vanderbilt, Texaas, USC

My two favorite college football teams are Syracuse AND whomever is playing Penn State! I despise the program and all the fantasy bullshit surrounding it. Despised Paterno and am happy he is currently suffering in purgatory. I've done my civic duty with regard to the Nittany Lion statute and ... as a previous poster indicated regarding his father ... my kids can go to ANY school they are accepted by and I will do everything in my power to pay 100% of the bill - but I will NOT pay one red cent for Penn State. Not one! (Thankfully my wife is in complete agreement).

I loathe all of the teams on that list, but two stand out for me.

I harbor visceral hatred for Virginia Tech.

And my wife is an Ohio State grad--so after that debacle last NCAA tournament, they've earned my eternal hatred as well.

the school playing Syracuse.

the rest, i root for whoever my $$ is on. they all mean the same to me....nothing.

:noidea:

Texas above all others. My hatred for UT is second only to my hatred for the Cowboys.

So I guess it's a good thing I live near Dallas and married into a family that worships UT, and my wife's uncle played linebacker on a championship team in the 60's.

The battle for my son's fandom begins.
