Follow up to Headmaster9 post.

This was the highlight of the day, and outside of tomorrow‘s tailgate and game will be one of the memories I take from this trip. Awesome place!!! The article below was from the Wall Street Journal earlier this year. They are open tomorrow from 10-4 pm. Stop by before the tailgate for a sandwich and a slice of pie. We are going back, as we ordered 3 pies for Thanksgiving. You will not be disappointed.

I'm just dying right now. My buddy and I had tickets on the 5th row of the 50 yard line and a hotel within walking distance of the stadium, but... I gut-wrenchingly had to cancel our trip to Liberty due to a shoulder surgery recovery being longer than anticipated.

Can someone please make fun of Jerry Falwell on my behalf?
When did you have surgery?

Guy at hotel desk said hotel booked solid for this game first time he has seen this many people for a liberty game, I asked how many Syracuse fans he said about a dozen in this hotel.
Yeah front desk at my hotel said 3 or 4 SU groups at ours as well

Heading over to Bootleggers

Monday of last week.
Ooh. Probably still pretty painful. Probably wouldn't have been a good idea to be in a crowd of people that would bump into you. That timing sucks.

Yeah it was rotator cuff surgery and the wildcard is whether my labrum was torn which they can't determine until they actually open you up. If it wasn't, then that would mean 1-2 weeks in a sling and I would be able to do the trip, but it was torn so that means 4 weeks instead. It's OK, I will recover from this first world problem... eventually.

Its all good Care. Tommy already has won the game of life because of his parents. The games are just a bonus!

When I was doing outpatient therapy, we would tell patients to wear their sling in public for a little while after the surgeon told them they weren't required to anymore. Labrum tear or not, most people are still in quite a bit of pain after 2 weeks and the sling tells people to try not to bump into you. That's a lot harder to prevent in the stands at a football game.

Still going strong at Waterdog...zero Cuse presence at the bar here that I’ve seen besides me...but great craft beer selection :)

Wish I was there. Keep the reports coming. Trying to focus on a few things before the game but, as usual, not doing a good job of it.
