When other fan bases recognize Dino is our weakness

The 3rd and 23 is such a hindsight play. If they get an incomplete pass, is it a great call? I hope the issue with that call is the defensive play call. What's the likelihood of a college team converting 3rd and 23? You can crush Dino all you want for time management but it's silly to me to crush him on that call. I'm absolutely accepting that and forcing them back further and trusting my defense (which has been heavily praised here) can make a play

There’s no universe where anyone says coherently that it was a good call to make. We literally just gave them another chance to get closer.
Agree. There is no rationalizing that call or his use of TO’s. None. He cost us a win. All the other crap can be argued like going for 2 or kicking the FG.

It’s not hard. If you decline you take the TD out of play. You are up 21-13 with the ball and 4 min. And you get the ball after half.
You accept and you bring 100 variables into play. We lost ALL momentum in the game RIGHT THERE

This notion that the actual “error” was the prevent defense is silly. If we accepted penalty and brought pressure you are singled up on the outside and being No 9 into play. The issue was the acceptance of the penalty not what came after

Kirk Morrison (great lb) did not strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed that game. yet even kirk was perplexed they accepted that penalty. took a while for the broadcast crew to even realize baber's decision. that bad.

I’m sorry if you don’t realize that some plays are more likely to happen then others. That some plays have a large % to happen or not happen. Nothing is 100%, the game is coached on %’s.

What I provided was context according to %’s. Every logical possibility in that situation, was more likely to play out by accepting the penalty because we almost 100% of the time play some form of prevent D in that situation. Declining the penalty would have resulted in a direct either/or scenario, missing or making the FG. Forcing a kicker to make a FG he’s never made before is a very high % play. Even if he were to make it, being up 2 scores was a far superior position then the other likely outcomes. It also would have kept the momentum on our side, which we then lost and never completely regained.
Your right 3 and 23 is more likely to result in a first down than FG by one of the most accurate kickers in the NCAA.
Make the stop and the momentum is much higher on our side.
We can agree to disagree on the choice made by the staff, but we just snuffed out a 2nd and 13, not reason to think we shouldn’t stop the next play if you have confidence in your defense.

They play call I did not really care for was the decision to go for 2 that failed. I thought that decision would come back to haunt us, though it would have raised out lead to a Fg, I understand the reason, but I thought it was too early in the game to sacrifice points.
