Where are all the Syracuse Women's basketball Fans?

Empathetic with Coach Jack, but is this really a Syracuse issue? Certainly there are a number of programs where the fan base comes out strongly in support of women's hoops.

But frankly in most places fans don't really support appreciably better than here. Attendance at last night's ACC games:

Pittsburgh: 2682
Clemson: 5008 against #1 S. Carolina
BC: 647
Wake Forest: 744
UVa: 3675
Cal: 1153
We had same thought. Top 25 teams/ACC teams and how Syr compared.

I would support letting girls basketball teams in without a fee. This would garner future fans as well as potentially influencing future players to Go Orange!

Growing up going to games at Manley they usually had a doubleheader with the Cuse Tangerines playing first and then the Varsity game. Why not play a few of these doubleheaders so you can get more people interested in the woman’s game?

Will WBB fans show up at 4 PM on a weeknight for a non-conference game?

Women's ACC games are played on Sundays and Thursdays, so they don't conflict with the Men's games.

Maybe do a couple non conference doubleheaders on Saturdays and see how it goes.Weeknights might be tough.

There is a logistics problem with this. They did a double header 2 years ago, but had to empty the Dome in between. Since I am from AZ, they let me stay in and stand to the side in the hallway. First of all, you have to turn over all of the season seats. So men seat holders have to leave their seats to let women season seat holders take theirs.

Have the women's game after, on a weekend. Play MBB at 2, WBB at 4:30. Fans could stay for both.

If the men’s basketball season ticket holders stayed since that’s hopefully the object of doing it - they would have to move the men’s Courtside etc season ticket holders to seat the women’s courtside season ticket holders. Bet there would be lots of complaints and arguing defeating the purpose. I think that’s what llandz was saying was an issue.

There would be more if it was the other way around (WBB first). I am sure they could figure something out.

Are WBB courtside seats sold out?

Not sure. There have always been some that were empty when I’m there. They maybe purchased by out of towners or boosters who rarely attend but I don’t know for sure.

yes.

Didn't they try this double header thing before with the men and women's hoops and all the fans left after the men's game?
Unfortunately, yes. It’s been tried multiple times and hasn’t worked.

The one guy who supported the women's team in NIL was sent away by the University, and no one else has filled the void.
