Where do we finish in the final, final poll?

I think after seeing what a bunch of these ranked teams did in bowl games this post-season that we are deserving of a 12-15 ranking honestly.

I was at the game and watching our team play, I don’t think we’re that good of a team (outside of our offensive weapons) to be ranked 12-15

But this is a foundational year for Fran’s program so I want us ranked as high as possible so Fran and the staff can work their recruiting magic

Colorado is such a fraud. They avoided Arizona State, Iowa State, and BYU during the season. The did play K State but lost. Look at that schedule and tell me their best W.

Some poor NFL team will fall into the hype machine and take Sanders in the draft.

So they’re Rutgers with two more wins? Except for the QB getting drafted, that doesn’t happen at Shaved Ape U

Based off the games to date and with what is left, we probably will end up 18-19, outside shot at 17th.

Need to root for Iowa and Duke

Not sure if pollsters jump us over Miami and Colorado.

If I were a voter, I would mostly ignore the results of the bowl games. On the other hand, polls are stupid so I would never participate.

We can score on any team in the country. We can score more than just about any team we play anyday of the week. Texas is all defense and not a great offense.. Why is that acceptable but not for offense?

You are a brave soul taking off your orange colored glasses for a minute to give an honest eval here lol. Definitely a work in progress. Specials and defense have to improve to get to the next level. We are 18-22 range from what I am realistically seeing.

Not sure what you're basing that on. Once you start looking at teams 10 and higher, you could make the case many are ranked too high. Just look at Indiana at #8, or SMU at #10, then you have Miami #13 and Clemson at #16. None of those teams look their rankings.

I love where this team is headed under coach Fran but outside of Kyle McCord’s heroic season the team probably wins 7 games because of the favorable schedule.

Coach Nixon was a godsend and a fantastic OC this year. Can’t say the same for DC Elijah Robinson. He has a lot of growth ahead of him and is no way ready to be a head coach in the next few years.

Another rarely spoken major contributor was the S&C staff. They were fantastic all year and we didn’t see nearly as many muscle injuries as we saw under Dino‘s regime

I'll just be happy to land in the teens.

I do think we should be ranked above Miami, but I don't think that'll be looked at in isolation.

I agree with Mark above that we'll finish around 18 or so. Every Syracuse fan on Earth signs up for that at the beginning of the year.

I went to three games this year and respectfully disagree. We were a very good team - top ten would be a stretch but just outside that absolutely. We had enough talent and good coaching - from a first time head coach - against a schedule tougher than some top ten ranked teams. It’s not a single piece of the team that makes this a good squad overall and everywhere you look (don’t look at special teams) we had strengths. There’s no team in #s 10-20 that doesn’t have some imperfection, I feel like we are one of the best of that grouping

I agree with the ACC assessment - I. like RF, believe we should be at 15. A lot of these teams were rated too high to start and never drifted back. We heard nothing except how easy our schedule was; and when it wasn't, we never drifted up.

once you get past the top 6, there are no teams that you would flat out think we couldnt beat.

The top 6 several really good Ds but really only one has an offense in oregon. The others beat you down and hope for big plays.

We should finish around 15 imo, but I'm starting to think we have zero shot of moving up. We're not going to be ranked above a 9-4 SEC team due to the usual bias and recency bias will work against us.

I'm actually worried they may have Army jump us, or even UNLV for just maximum frustration.
