Where do we finish in the final, final poll?

We should finish around 15 imo, but I'm starting to think we have zero shot of moving up. We're not going to be ranked above a 9-4 SEC team due to the usual bias and recency bias will work against us.

I'm actually worried they may have Army jump us, or even UNLV for just maximum frustration.

We will move up.

What might hold us down a bit is the ACC absolutely no showing bowl season.

We can score on any team in the country. We can score more than just about any team we play anyday of the week. Texas is all defense and not a great offense.. Why is that acceptable but not for offense?

Obviously you want to excel all around but Someone once said "Defense wins championships" and it caught on.

Based off the games to date and with what is left, we probably will end up 18-19, outside shot at 17th.

Need to root for Iowa and Duke

No. 15; is likely the ceiling but would require some integrity by voters. Bama has been the season long favorite in spite of two convincing losses to .500 teams. Having a 9-4 record there will be votes for Bama I the top ten, thought they should fall some from their present No. 11 perch.

Illinois was overrated, though they likely are a top 20 team. SMU and Clemson are Top 20 teams. A few losses ahead of SU should move SU into the teens.

SU should be ranked higher than Miami as SU won head-to-head but voters have no rhyme or reason to their opinions (see Bama's losses to Vandy and Oklahoma). SU likely winds up with a 17/18 ranking.

once you get past the top 6, there are no teams that you would flat out think we couldnt beat.

The top 6 several really good Ds but really only one has an offense in oregon. The others beat you down and hope for big plays.

Jeanty sure. But if we controlled the ball with passing how many shots would he have gotten. We might score 40, I don't think they score 40

OSU/PSU/ND/Tex those teams have dlines that get to the passer like Pitt did.
