Where's Cooney?

Last I read he was attempting to catch on with a summer league team, I don't think it happened. You can tell the guy wants to ball, I have no doubt he'll end up somewhere soon.

I know this is probably crazy, but I really think he'll catch on somewhere. He has a great work ethic, he's smart and if he's not being chased all over the court for 40 minutes, he's a good situational three point shooter.

No chance in hell in the NBA. Idk if that's what you mean. Overseas- I agree. And in a solid league making good money.

Don't you ever give up on Cooney. Cause he'll prove you wrong when you least expect it. ;)
Fact is, I'm really pumped there's a Cooney thread.

My opinion is that is unlikely he ever dances in "the league". But he's danced in the tourney more than any other SU player in history and 99% of all college players. Mull that little nugget over for a second, kindly. Thanks! Also played out of his mind defensively once or twice in critical situations this past March. Pressured some really good teams and players into making hasty decisions in crunch time.

I hope and expect that TC will play in the pros overseas, make a decent chunk of change and/or coach down the road time.

Still can't get that amazing read out of my head that he made to make what should have been a clean steal in the corner against Gonzaga. I think Coach K would agree it may have been one of the seven wonders of the world.

If he's ok with experiencing foreign places (and not all players are), he should be able to make some good money, have fun, get to see the world and gets to come back to a great ovation when he's in Cuse.

OK, I'm too curious to let this one pass: why do so many people think he's going to become a coach?

He's a gym rat, works hard despite not having a lot of God-given athleticism and he's a cerebral player.

Yep, those are the buzz words that spring to mind.

Of the three players who left this spring, Cooney's the last one I'd pick to coach. Yet he's the only one I've seen mentioned as a potential coach on here.
