Sometimes it isn't the best players who become coaches (Kevin Ollie, Luke Walton, Steve Kerr, Tyronn Lue). I think he has the fire to become an excellent coach.
The first point's valid, but I'm not seeing the connection between fire and head coaching acumen. There's a whole lot more to it than that, and I don't think any of us knows if Cooney's got that aptitude.
Not saying he's not fit, but I'm still scratching my head as to why many seem to think he'll be a coach (and no one's offered much support).
