Whiffing

Tell me why I’m wrong , that’s what these boards are about
Tell us specifically who you are talking about. What’s the point of being vague?

Tell me why I’m wrong , that’s what these boards are about
1. timelines don't match - by the time any WR recruit would have judged Tommy as being the whiffed on player, it would have been 2020
2. COVID impacted recruiting last cycle more than any whiffing
3. How can you tell how much we whiffed on WRs when we had a bad OL for two years with a suspect QB followed up by a guy who is raw and an OC who's nor here anymore

I think offense is the side of the ball where issues compound. Putting it all on the coach for recruiting a 4* QB is simplistic

2016-2018 we had major numbers from our WRs and a highly rated QB waiting to take over. That is where we whiffed on WR recruiting. Even 2019 we had a WR with good numbers and it wasn't certain that Tommy woudl be a bust. Sure 2020 and 2021 are impacting our current class and will hurt next year's class. But our WR issues have nothing to do with our current QB issues.

those Receivers were recruited by shafers staff , erv philips and ishamael . maybe Triston Jackson left because he knew DeVito wasn’t high level ?

Really? Dino's first 4 recruiting classes he whiffed on WRs. That is why we had none in 2020 and 2021. That has NOTHING to do with Tommy and the other QBs being bad at passing the ball in 2020 and 2021. 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 came before 2020.

Speaking of whiffing, was at emergency room the other night and this big guy enters the room being wheeled in by what looked to be his wife.Anyhow the guy seems to be in some severe pain and after about an hour of sitting in there the guy lets one rip that almost shattered windows, he then proceeds to blame his wife for the loudest passed gas I’ve ever heard. He then stands up and says ok honey I’m good we can go and they both walked out and left.
Maybe there is something wrong with me, but my wife didn’t seem to find it as hilarious as I did.

a fart so big it required an emergency room visit. that could actually be a metaphor for this entire board

Played together one season and he had 66 catches for over 1,000 yards and 11 TDs.

He didn't want to stick around one more year to see if it improved?
There’s more to the numbers , maybe he looked at who else was playing with him at the position, which is my point we couldn’t recruit WR because the story was out. Jackson came as a transfer, if you recall
