I really really hate to bag on a College Athlete but what the heck! Remember a lot of us thought he was going to have a huge year along with Eskridge? I can't remember a Syracuse DB having a worse year ever than Whigham this year. It is blatantly obvious that every team we play runs and throws right at him, he also has an extremely tough time turning to the ball...

I know Harsh, but he was no doubt the biggest disappointment this year.

that TD catch over him was one of the more shocking plays Ive seen in the Dome all year, and that says a lot from this home slate of games…but cmon mann knock that ball away

Missed tackle as well on duke's first td. It has been all year long as well.

Tough to get on the kid he is trying his best, but not to happy with Eskridge and Whighams seasons to say the least.

I was going to write a similar post. Showed some great potential last year before the FSU injury. Not exactly sure what happened but he doesn't even resemble the same player. Been a huge disappointment this year, has been a big liability all year.

If reddish gets any kind of inclination from the committee he is expected to be a mid-round pick or higher, he should make the jump. I honestly don't think he is capable of playing any better than he is now. He's a strike while the iron is hot kinda guy

Would really be a rebuilding year in the secondary if that's the case.

Esk was ball hawking a lot this year. Shafer got on him for it a couple of times. He has made no secret about wanting to jump to the league and I think we wanted to pad his numbers.

If he wants to go pro he needs to also work on tackling.

He could use another year of development, but he is as good as gone.

seniors will be missed but were not at the point of a duke where the drop off be huge when they lose all their seniors

I'm not sure why it was shocking. Teams have been picking on JW all year. He's really not that good of a player. Time after time after time after time he has given up big plays this season. I'm not sure if it was him but I seem to recall someone saying something about matching up with anyone in the country at the beginning of the year. Syracuse has an awesome defense. They play hard and they play inspired. I'm sure he's trying his best but he is the weakest link on the defense. Every time someone is scoring or getting a crucial first down his jersey is the one in coverage. It has to be pretty embarrassing for him.

Thought Wigham played as a true freshmen as well and will be a senior next year? Anyways...he has to hit the weight room and get stronger.
