Who are you rooting for in the Final Four?

Having CFB and CBB Final 4 Playoff Participants and National Champions increases money and viewership for that conference. We want the ACC to get it's own network, make more money and get more eyeballs on us. Other conferences winning doesn't do that especially when it's our main competition in the B1G.

I guess I'm a little more secure in the ACC's standing.

Screw Michigan State
Screw Wisconsin
Screw Kentucky

I'm onboard the Duke train.

So here's a question for all y'all -

Suppose Cal does it and decides to leave the college game on top to take over an NBA team. Just for giggles, let's say the Bulls, since Thibs and the front office are catty.

Would you take Kentucky getting that championship in order to get Calipari out of the college game?

Unfortunately, I don't think it really matters at this point. If Cal goes, Kentucky just offers a fat contract to (insert basically any coach they want here). Coupled with the Big Blue machine behind them, Kentucky won't slow down a bit.

Just count the national championships. Backwards.

Wisconsin 1 - 74 years ago.

Michigan State 1 - 15 years ago.

Duke 4- the last 5 years ago, (and it should have been ours).

Kentucky 8 - the last three years ago, (and I would like to have had a shot at them, full strength).

Well, it's not like they've hit home runs on every coaching hire they had (Tubby Smith, BCG, Eddie Sutton)

I'll never understand this. It's like people think Purdue is going to hang a banner or something.

You don't think Purdue is using "hey the B1G won both CFB and CBB - we are the best conference" in recruiting pitches to recruits?

We lost LB to them in football recruiting last cycle. This stuff, however inane - can matter.

The overwhelming favorite for the title lost in the second round. The other favorite lost in the elite eight. I know we had a good team, but the certainty with which people proclaim that title as ours is weird.

Great. Good luck with that.

Without our starting center we nearly beat Butler and there was a controversial out-of-bounds call late in the game. Butler came within a half court shot that rimmed out of winning it all. We were #1 for much of that season and nobody would have been an "overwhelming favorite" over us full strength. And the fact that those "favorites" lost would have opened thinks up quite nicely for us.

...or we lose to Kansas State. Unfortunately we'll never know.

And to be fair, Kansas and Kentucky were number one most of the year. We had the top spot between the Nova win and the Louisville loss. So about one week.

I like Wiscconsin and Duke equally. If they play each other in the Final, I'd be torn.

Would root for MSU against UK.

Seriously cannot stand UK (or Calipari -- whose halftime remarks during the Notre Dame game were beyond arrogant).

1. DUKE -- Go ACC. I like having the best team in my conference because SU gets a shot at them every year in a showcase game. The more they win the bigger the showcase and the more we gain from beating them. (this is not like rooting for Georgetown. Sorry but we are not on Duke's level & Coach K is not the hated JT).

2. Anybody but Kentucky -- how people can want these obnoxious entitled cheaters to win...just because they have perfected a way to game the system and not get caught is beyond me. A team of all NBA ringers, wow what an accomplishment.

3. Wisconsin -- See #2. A B1G champ does nothing for SU. But at least Bo Ryan and Wiscy have never won anything.

4. MSU -- they've tasted enough glamour wins. Enough with Izzo is the best thing since sliced bread. The B1G would like to destroy the ACC and SU with it. So who needs a B1G team to win anything?

Unless they hire Billy Gillespie 2.0

I don't know how some of you can root for Duke. K is great, and nothing is wrong with their kids, but they without a doubt have one of the most smug fanbases in all of sports.

Maybe it's because I live in upstate New York and there are an abundance of Duke fans that literally have zero ties to the state of North Carolina or that University, but still act like they do. If they get to Monday night and play UK, it will be the second year in a row I root for Kentucky in a title game.

Duke all the way although it's definitely a lesser of 4 evils situation. I strongly dislike the Big 10 (something about Wisco's program just strikes me as douchey) and Cal.

Wisconsin, I guess. Only because Sam "Michael Jordan" Dekker was entertaining as hell.

I actually enjoy watching Kentucky, but I can't stand Cal.

Rooting for UK to take it, would like to see a team run the table.

1. Wisconsin or Michigan State (although I still don't like how Bo Ryan initially handled the Jared Uthoff transfer situation a few years ago. Who knows - maybe he knew he was ultimately interested in Iowa but that's no reason to no release him to the whole list of schools he initially refused to)

2. Duke

Distant 3rd - Kentucky.

All of the off court stuff with Wisconsin sold me. Those are just good, fun dudes. I'm rooting hard for them at this point.
Except for Bo Ryan. He's a tool, and his team can lose because of it.
