Who put the pills in our gatorade...

If someone told you we had a 27% chance of making the final four you'd slap em in the face for being stupid. So I'll take this 3 out of 11 stat.

Best subject line of season - cant wait for football season to start!

Fair and Joseph should make sure James gets laid every night for the rest of the semester after he bailed their asses out today.

Eeesh. Based on what thought process we've seen, Dirty is in for a semester of either knuckles or drilling the likes of PeteCalvin, Doc Lentini's med school cadaver, and Doris Burke. I'm not sure anyone deserves that level of depravity for doing something good (just ask the lovely and vivacious Mrs. PeteCalvin), and additionally the Constitution prohibits cruel and unusual punishment. Although Doris and Lentini's cadaver would've been A-list sorority material "10's" at Alfred University. Like PeteCalvin was.

James is better off adjusting to and getting real familiar with his own stroke, both on and off the course. After the decision making exhibited today, I wouldn't let anyone on that team decide what to order me for dinner.

Does anyone know the track record of #1 seeds who struggled to beat the #16? I don't; I'd feel better if a bunch of them made the final four or something.

You don't think it says something bad that we struggled to beat one of the worst teams in the tournament? I know it's survive and advance, but it doesn't make me feel good about our chances. (Also, I don't think anyone says style points dont matter when they win by 30). I also think its even more important in a situation like this, where we don't have all the pieces we did that got us to 31-2.

I know Purdue went right out and lost to Georgia after lucking into that win over their 16. But that set up a very fun Sweet Sixteen for all of us.

Georgetown flamed out before the Final Four after the Princeton scare, too, but I don't remember how early it was.

I believe they lost in the Regional Finals to Duke.

Save it jake. Style points dont count.

Sadly real points do count, and we needed every bit of 40 minutes to get more of them than a friggin' #16 seed.

I'm a survive and advance guy too, but that was a disaster.

A disaster would have been a loss. I could care less what the pundits or anoyne else says. We won. Game over.

seriously, that was like watching Paul Harris and Josh Wright milk a lead. The only thing we shouldn't do in the final 2 minutes was foul them, and yet there was Dion, Scoop and Triche all doing their part stopping the clock and putting the best FT shooting team in the tournament at the line. Ficking brutal.

We deserved to lose that game. Fair and Joseph should make sure James gets laid every night for the rest of the semester after he bailed their asses out today. Hey Kris...guess what, the next game might be your last, how bout a little fire there buddy.

Its survive and advance, but that was a freaking 99-car derailment I just watched. I have ZERO confidence that we don't get bushwhacked by K State. If we struggle to score against those muppets, K State might hold us under 45.
This may be the best post ever, and I fully plan on stealing your headline in the future.

OK, whatever.

It was awesome.

I remember Purdue almost became the first #1 to lose in 1996. Then they promptly lost in the 2nd round.

Off the top of my head that 1989 G'town team lost in the elite 8 to Duke and the 1996 Purdue team lost to UGA in the 2nd round, setting up the epic Cuse/UGA game in the sweet 16.

Edit oops should have read the entire thread before posting

I kept wondering the whole game why we kept shooting so many contested 3's when their biggest guy was 6'5 and we couldn't hit squat. Fouling on not one , but 2 3-pointers was pretty impressive, as well.
