This is one area where Dino shines. He can't say that he lost trust in Dungey's focus after his push pass attempt and that he expected more from his senior leader... to the press. I'm certain that's a conversation he can have with Dungey 1:1, if it's even needed. What Dino can say to the press is that he felt North Carolina had dialed in to what Syracuse was doing on offense and he hoped to get a spark by changing things up, which is exactly what he did say to the press.

Dino knows what's up. He walks that line extremely well between answering the question the press needs in a way that doesn't distract his team or players.

this is a test of the most difficult coaching decision. its clear that devito should get the start with dungey to relieve if he cannot make the grade. the team will respond to dungey. i get the bond between the coach and eric---the team comes first.
