I don't think this coaching staff knows how to evaluate the talent level of the players. Many fans have a better idea than the coaches do. Seriously! Some of you guys can do better. I'm not being sarcastic either. Who wants to coach?

You need to stay out of the bars and listening to drunks.

The frustrating thing about football coaching is they spend countless hours coming up with game plans, evaluating the players, practicing the same play over and over until they get it right, things most of us are incapable of ever learning. Then they throw it all away by punting on 4th and 2.

With fans like you? Pass.
Fans like me? Do you really know what kind of a fan I am? My post was poking fun. And, I'm sure there are many who love to be a football coach at the college level. I for one!!!!!!

We are fans.

We have no real idea what is going on behind the scenes.

The coaches are professionals. They see these kids every day. They watch hours of film.

It's fun to discuss and debate, but in the end none of us knows what the heck he is talking about.

OrangePA, that's exactly my point. I don't know what I'm talking about either.

I'll take a shot at playcalling. Have my playbook ready

Imperial, that's awesome. I'm glad someone else re: my post has a sense of humor.
BTW, can I be the receivers coach. I had great hands. In high school they used to call me "glue." Held on to everything. Was knocked out once and never dropped the ball. I have proof to. My HS friends of 50 years ago still talk about that catch. lol

Works for me but I'll try and call plays that don't result in wr's getting lit up. Then again, you can't really hit on defense anymore so a WR's life is bit easier.

No wide receivers when I played. Just tight ends. The term and use of wide receivers did not come into play until the early 70's.
And you are right. WR's lives are a bit easier.

I've won like 16 straight national titles in dynasty coach mode in Ncaa Football. If I can take UMASS, Army, and the Texas State Bobcats to multiple national titles then Syracuse should be a cakewalk.

Ozcuse, that is quite the resume!
