Buddy and I are in a pool where you pick 8 teams and earn points based on every game they win. Most points in the end wins it... Couple rules:

- Must pick exactly one - 1 seed, one - 2 seed and one 3 - seed.
- Must pick one team seeded 9 or worse...
- Other four teams you pick must be seed 4-8 (can pick multiple of same seed if u want).
- Must pick two teams from each bracket.

Its probably my favorite pool I do, must more thought provoking than normal brackets.

So... who would you pick?

Midwest - Louisville (1) & Cincinnati (10)
West - Arizona (6) & Kansas St (4)
South - Georgetown (2) & VCU (5)
East - Syracuse (4) & Marquette (3)

Midwest - Duke (2) & St. Mary's (11)
West - Wisconsin (5) & Arizona (6)
South - Kansas (1) & Florida (3)
East - Syracuse (4) & Butler (6)

Midwest: Louisville (1), Creighton (7)
West: New Mexico (3), Kansas State (4)
South: Georgetown (2), VCU (5)
East: Syracuse (4), Bucknell (11)

Man, this is harder than it looks (that's what she said).

1 seed - Louisville (MW)
2 seed - Georgetown (S)
3 seed - New Mexico (W)

Seed worse than 9 - Bucknell 11 (E)

Seeds 4-8

4 St. Louis (MW)
5 VCU (S)
5 Wisconsin (W)
6 Butler (E)

This gives you a guaranteed win with Butler and Bucknell playing and both teams can beat Marquette.

It really is tough, involves a lot of strategy...
For what its worth, we went with:

MidWest:
(1) Louisville
(12) Oregon

West:
(2) Ohio State
(5) Wisconsin

East:
(4) Syracuse
(6) Butler

South:
(3) Florida
(4) Michigan

I like this strategy, Screwed is Mich State wins the Midwest though. And the West is so weak, would suit u better to have a legit team out there as a pick.

how does the point system work?

Pretty sure its 1 point if u win round 1, 2 points round 2, 4 points round 3, 7 points round 4, 10 points if u win round 5, 15 points if you win it all.

Midwest - Louisville (1) & Michigan State (3)
West - Ohio State (2) & Kansas State (4)
South - Michigan (4) & Minnesota (11)
East - Syracuse (4) & Butler (6)

I think you did ok.
Florida is a must-have imo.
Like Wisconsin & Michigan too.
I think I would go Indiana/Duke over L'ville/Ohio St.
Cool game.

Not that anyone cares, but my buddy and I took 2nd place in this... Point system was actually that however many points one of team scores in the game, you get. Even if they lose you get their points, but of course then your team doesnt move on.

Had Ohio State beat Wichita State, we would've won. Had Butler beat Marquette, we would've won. A nice haul overall though, as 2nd place netted a bit over $1500. One guy had Wichita St has his 9+ seed, and also had most of the teams that fared well.

PS - of those of you that posted your picks, none would have placed EXCEPT for ConnectiCuse. You would have gotten 5th place, which paid out $310 bucks.
