Who's wearing one of these today?

Not me.

I'm beaten up a bit, but I'm with the program and will be there in full force when the Orange takes on WF in the Dome.
Thats pretty much all the fine lot regulars amd peoeple like dcuse and myself, i may vent but im always there, hell i was there through Grob when you knew you were going to lose.

Ugh, it's pretty painful but the sun will come out tomorrow. Gotta keep the hope alive and I still believe in Shafer's ability to lead the program to success. Looking forward to the next tailgate, sometimes it's the best part of the day

yesterday SUCKED but I'll be in the Dome in 13 days with the rest of the real fans. Hopefully because its Donovan McNabb Day it won't be half empty.

Had a phone message and an email from a friend who I'm buying this hat forOh Lord

I'll be back every week but there might be a lot of complaining.

Can the term "fair weather" apply to anything or anyone in central NY?

Here are the comments I received by FWF:

"I'm done with them. He is the wrong coach and he hired friends."

"2 teams with similar talent...We were out coached today."

"Can't watch any more...another interception."

"Feel bad about the SU Iowa lineman...he should of went to another school."

"Oh well...Ernie gets embarrassed again. Beat up by an engineering school and the fans don't even show...I won't be going to any more games either at least we have a good basketball coach. SU football stinks."

As much as the blowout sucks, we are still a game ahead of where we were last year.

Get a big win at home vs. Wake and I can see us get to six. No reason we can't beat MD, Pitt, and BC.

No reason except we have no offense or defense. I thought special teams were a plus until Sat too.

So, I take my kid to the Dr. today and he comments on my boys Clemson jersey (we live in Charlotte - neighbors think they are funny, 5 yrs olds want to back winners, not SU :(). Anyway, this Doc is from manhattan and comments on the enormity of the rivalry between schools 'down here' as his son is a Sr. at South Carolina. A muster out that the jersey isn't my doing but I can't blame the kid because daddy's team is um, less than competitive these days. We discuss SU and as we are done he gives me the 'well, credit to you for being so loyal to your team.' I shrug and reply 'at this point in my life, I can't change, it's part of my identity.'

Hopefully that changes with our bye week and the next 5 games.

Hoping and praying don't win football games. Talent, game planning, and coaching do. We are lacking at least 2 out of 3 of these things at this point. Possibly all 3.

3 things I know...

This is his first head coaching gig and there will be some bumps and bruises with that. Losing like that has to sting him much worse than any of us.

It is too early to say he is a savior or a bad coach. Its about how fast he learns and communicates with his coordinators.

If any of you can with 100 percent certainty predict #2 then you need to quite your job and get a 1 900 number.

It sucked to watch and in fact I had to step away for a few minutes but by all means are we dead lets wins some games and get to a bowl game

You can be a fan and still be critical of the program. You don't have to wear orange glass all day every day.

This loss and the other blowouts this season bring back very bad memories of that babbling baboon's era, GRob.
We weren't competitive. We made numerous costly mistakes. We looked over-matched, outclassed, and out-coached.
More that FWFandom or Orange-colored glasses, there's a real foreboding that we've taken a major step back.
Personally, I'll let the season play out and we'll see where we are. But after that debacle, unless you're a glutton for punishment, I can't blame anyone for not wanting to see that team (the one that showed up for the blowouts)...play again this season.

I agree with your points, but I have nothing to do with any of them outside of discussing them on here.

As a fan I simply hope the team wins and I support the program by attending the games. If they don't win then I also must place faith in the AD to make the appropriate changes to address these problems.
