Why Can't We Have Nice Things? OT

There’s no way SU is signing off on any products using the incorrect logo. You should report that to the trademark team, aka, Rachel Duffy.
Theres no way Nike is selling "Officially Licensed" NCAA products illegally. Shirt world maybe, not Nike.

SU must be OK with this, as they are now in bed with Fanatics.

My thinking is that SU still owns those old logos and allows Fanatics to move merchandise.

Obviously. But we have the power I assume to pull those god-awful logos and start selling items we want. They are out of touch with the fan base. No one like those logos when they were active.

No kidding. They’re hideous. I get the concept of retro stuff but why try to sell retro crap

I assume the issue has to do with licensing as opposed to the brands' respective interest.

There's some pretty nice and obscure stuff out there like the Streaker Peanut's collection.

My guess on the '47 and Nike stuff OP wants is that they aren't willing to share as much revenue as SU wants, actually spinning the logo onto hats is easy for them.

Also, thanks. Now that I've found that Snoopy shirt to make a point, I must have it lol.
Thanks for that link! I really like some of their stuff. Charlie Brown as quarterback is awesome! Snoopy catching a pass is great, too.

Another example is the Melo clothing line. They highlight the 2003 National Championship, yet use those awful logos that were not active during that time. Makes no sense.

Yes agreed. I should have noted that those products must be old and they are simply trying to get rid of backlog. I highly doubt they have allowed new products to be made with outdated logos.

agreed. I missed a crucial word in my copy. There’s no way SU is signing off on any new products using the incorrect logo.

The pricing has gotten out of control. I am not paying $70 - $80 for a hoodie. That is ridiculous. Even when I look at sweatshirts from 'cheaper' brands, they are $50 - $60. Most of my SU gear is getting like me - old and worn down.

Agree on this.

And Kiyan’s merch will set you back $240.00 for these two items.

Not saying this as an insult to you obviously, but everything in that link looks straight out of a 1992 JCPenney catalog. And not in a cool retro way, but just an outdated way.

Agreed, but you can buy brand 47 block S hats. Everything else is pretty bad except the classic block Syracuse across the front.

Every school has iconic stuff and bad stuff. Most of the Alabama stuff I wouldn't buy either.

Syracuse should make sure you can buy their iconic stuff on every piece of merch. Block S, Block Syracuse and maybe CUSE just like you can get BAMA if that's your thing.

I wouldn't wear this in public if you paid me $77.99
