Also, doubling up on numbers allows us more leeway to give numbers to recruits who want a particular number. If it helps recruiting, I'm in favor.

If the plan is to get all 20 walk-ons onto the field, then yes. Probably going to get a few more little engine that could stories that year.

I just checked Michigan's roster and they have:

Four 3s
Four 6s
Three 15s
Three 17s
Three 20s
Three 44s

It gets confusing after a while, the game Saturday I was screaming at the tv because I thought they were keeping Wilson Speight on the field to go for it, I forgot the kicker was also number 3, not much you can do in college football, when you have so many players.
