- It’s November and, as usual, we have a roster of players who are injured and can’t play or are playing hurt and it includes uncertainly, (at best) over the status of our quarterback. We haven’t won a game in November since Trill Williams stole the ball against Wake Forest, (and that game should have bene a loss). It’s not just Dino: we are 10-28 in November since we joined the ACC and have had five winless Novembers in that time – and are working on #6. We just cannot recruit enough players to have the depth to absorb injuries, (although most teams would have problems if they’d lost the players we have lost. The lack of depth also means that were can’t alternate players in as many positions as other teams, which makes fatigue a bigger factor and injuries even more likely to happen.

- Florida State is becoming Florida State again, (while we are becoming Syracuse again). They blew away Georgia Tech, who had been playing better 41-16 and Miami, who was supposed to be good this year 45-3. They could do the same thing to us in our current condition.

- Jared Verse is an obscure player playing for an FCS team, Albany. They play us and we win easily 62-24. Amid the carnage Verse stands out as an exceptional player, running down Sean Tucker. Dino Babers goes over to him after the game to suggest that he’d look really good in a Syracuse uniform. The kid’s right in our backyard so this is his big chance to step and show what he can do on a bigger stage. How lucky we are. Except Florida State sees him on the game film we are required to send him. They contact him and he decides to go there. A year later we are playing Jared and his FSU team are in same Dome where we first spotted him to play us, not with an inferior team but with a superior team. You know that this can’t end well for us. In fact, you’ve known that for a long time.

- Will Garret Shrader be back or will we be sending Carlos Del Rio-Wilson out there again? And if Garrett is back, is he all the way back or will he be a limited Garret Shrader, one who cannot provide the multi-threat we need him to give us to keep the defense honest? And if CDRW plays, will eh be the guy who made all those interesting-looking throws to multiple receivers in the Notre Dame game, or will he be the “deer in the headlights” we saw against Pittsburgh? What if we get the Notre Dame Shrader, followed by the Pittsburgh Wilson? Ugh and double Ugh.

- FSU has Travis Jordan, the sort of dual threat QB we badly need. Our record in defending them over the years is poor. (So is everybody else’s).

- Who’s gonna cover 6-7 235 Johnny Wilson, who is averaging 19.5 yards per catch? Their other wide-out, Ontaria Wilson, is averaging 17.9. These guys like to go deep.

- Their top two running backs, Trey Benson and Treshaun Ward, are averaging 7.0 and 6.8 yards per game, respectively. Our star, Sean Tucker, is averaging 4.1 against schools not named Wagner.

- Who’s going to get injured next? I’ll be people have some money down on it.

Miami couldn’t stop them at all in the red zone, fortunately we have a much better D than them (Miami). Need to hold them to FGs.

Trickeration. We win by way of trickeration. (Im running out of ways to justify us winning this game)

"Special Plays"

Besides, this is the "Why Florida State Will Win" thread.

“Florida State is becoming Florida State again, (while we are becoming Syracuse again)”

Great line.
