when we played at the barclays center, there were young girls front row behind the usc bench who would scream the highest pitched, loudest, most annoying scream every time cuse shot a free throw. Their parents never told them to shut up or stop and it was annoying. So, glad they lost lol.

Good season by them though and ive grown to like frank martin.

I've grown to like Frank Martin too, and not just because of the hatred for him on here. ;)

As for noise during free throws, it was a bit before my time, but do you recall what came out of the mouths of Cuse fans during free throws back when the students(credit to the ones now on here) actually were a factor, and the rest of the fans were more into it as well? I do agree that many kids arent beaten enough these days, but from the looks of things on here, it was a trend that started long ago. ;)

I posted this before, but I'm not sure how many got to see it. I think it broke the world record for most time until the first tv time out. I think folks would be entertained to watch up until then. If you want, you can skip ahead to the 15:00 mark and check the next couple of minutes. JB eventually ends up making a statement, and the 2nd half of it says he'd ask for a technical if a certain section continued it's off-color chants during free throws. I dont want to give an spoilers as to what the first part of JB's speech to the crowd was.

Seriously, this reminded me of an old school WWF match, even the announcer's reaction right after the 15:00 mark reminded me of it to. And then JT pulling his team off the floor...this stuff was just so over the top, you couldn't make it up!

Bad reason to not like a team.

We mopped the floor with Cornell when I was s student, at some point in the second half of the bloodbath their students would parade in front of our student section with a banner that said "It's alright, it's ok, you're going to work for us some day". that pissed me off then. But what really pisses me off now is that I do work for a guy who went to Cornell. There's my Cornell hate story.

Lol even back in '85 there were Syracuse fans all around the world per the broadcaster.

That's it. SU has NO TRUE ROAD GAMES till we schedule one on Mars with Marvin's basketball team.

(And Bugs knows about us so even THAT won't count!)

I was pulling hard for SC. Living in GA for 2 years and now SC, it's all SEC Football, all the time.

Even on a normal Final Four Saturday, in the southeast, it's all about the football spring game and who looked good, what recruits were there etc.

This year, hardly a mention of the Gamecocks Spring Game - In fact they moved the game time due to the basketball game. It was all about the SC Men's Basketball Team in the Final 4.

Here in SC, there were only two schools of thought - Gamecocks fans ultra hype over their team or Clemson fans begrudgingly respecting them and wishing them well or openly rooting for Gonzaga.

Being from New York, it was cool to see CBB become the epicenter of conversation in SEC country.

I hate Michigan State with all my hating hatred because I once got snubbed by a girl in a MSU sweatshirt. That was 30+ years ago.

Who says you need a GOOD reason to not like a team? This is sports, dammit.
I agree with this wholeheartedly.

We're pretty civilized these days and get that it's wrong to judge and hate people for stupid reasons. Sports allow us to indulge in irrationality now and again. I think that serves a purpose.

That foul on Seikaly that put Ewing on the line for the orange splat FT's was completely ridiculous. That's as clean of a block as you'll get. The Pearl offensive foul a few moments before that was also ridiculous.

Speaking of other fan chants and traditions, here is a question: what the heck is the Kansas chant they do almost constantly? Best guess is "ah ahhh ahhhhhh ah shoot two" but those last two words are a complete guess.

i will say the one piece of non syracuse sports apparel i own and have broke out occasionally over the past 10 years is a south carolina baseball cap much like the one below. it always gets a chuckle.

You need the one that says: "You can't beat our Cocks"

I'd like to give a shout out to Gonzaga for executing the up 3 and fouling the other team before they have a chance to shoot the game tying 3 to perfection.
