MCW comes in, hits 2 3's (the only SU player to even hit a 3), also a really nice assist, and then he sits for most the rest of the half?
Why won't Boeheim give this kid more minutes?

I think he will get a significant amount of second half minutes. Boeheim likes having his best players on the court when there is around 7 minutes left.

Boeheim doesn't know much about basketball. I can't imagine he'll make it as a coach for for very long...

Seriously though, I love that MCW is the next big thing but it comes back to the age old question of "which 2 gaurds do you sit to get him more PT?" It's a really great problem to have. First year players are usually a bit of a liability in the zone would be my guess.

Can't argue but you've got to learn to just accept what the coach does.

Well the way "good as he wants to be" triche is playing, one of the guys mcw could spell is Brandon

lol...gotta agree. I mean, I would think the message you want to send in a game like this, where we're in control, is that if you play really well - you'll play. And if you play like absolute garbage - you won't.

It's a good game for him, pretty sloppy, St. John's D isn't all that impressive - get him some run when it seems to matter. Nevertheless, it isn't unexpected from JB.

That's what I was thinking as well - Triche seems to be a bit off today both with his shooting and ball handling.
Maybe now that we're up 21, MCW will get some more time on the court.
I see a lot of promise in him as a player and think the more playing time he can get, the better he'll be next year.

I wouldn't be surprised if some it had to do with the lineup.
Southerland was in with KJo I think and Melo wasn't.

Then Melo left at the 7 minute mark and we were up 10.
Also Dion trying to get going. We were trying to extend our lead before the half.

Well, he's back in now.
Hopefully he'll get a chance to get some quality minutes.

Glad to see Boeheim give MCW a lot of minutes in 2nd half and MCW has a break out game
13 pts (3.4 from 3pt range), 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and that jam was pretty sweet.
Has to be a huge confidence builder for him.
Hopefully he earned himself a chance to get some more playing time to come in off the bench when other guards are struggling.
